Bald Peak Residence

A property of supreme beauty and solitude, located atop of Bald Peak, this home began with an existing 3-car garage at the current site.  The roof was removed, and a new upper floor and tower were added.

Built to withstand the peak's higher winds, the walls and roof are super-insulated with sprayed-in insulation which allows the entire structure to have an overall solid feeling along with creating a very quiet interior.

Broad roof overhangs were designed to control the sun's seasonal angles.  The extended overhang at the west deck allows for control of glare from the western setting sun.

Utilizing geothermal energy, the home is heated with a radiant floor heating system.
